More

Acorde Cero is a video game in development, codename Traste, for learning guitar with your own guitar. I'm making it, Daniel Campos Lozada, in Buenos Aires. It's a calm game, the kind you play on the couch, with a rhythm mode where you play chords following a track.

Why I'm making it

I bought a guitar wanting to learn. Then reality hit: I'm a dad and time doesn't exist. YouTube videos teach halfway, and behind each one there's someone with a course to sell you. So I did the only thing left: a game where learning doesn't feel like a chore.

A game to play, with no rush

In rhythm mode you play guitar chords following a track, with your real guitar. Games like this already exist, but I wanted this one to feel like a calm couch game: learning should be relaxed.

A room with Molly

Molly is my pet and my friend for more than 12 years. Whenever I can I honor her with little details: a painting, an illustration, a photo, or her asleep on the bed. In Acorde Cero it's the same. My idea is that anyone with a pet can have their dog or cat in the room while they play.

What Traste is

Traste is the game's codename while I develop it. In Spanish, a traste is each of the divisions of a guitar's fretboard, where you press your fingers to change notes.
